Island Ticket Hut

Terms & Conditions

1. The Agreement

1.1 Island Ticket Hut Limited (“Island Ticket Hut”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a private limited company registered in the Island of Jersey with Company number 142158. We provide an online ticket distribution system (“the Service”) that allows account holders to create and promote events, and for other users to purchase tickets for those events.
1.2 By using the Service to purchase or list tickets, you accept these Terms and Conditions, as well as any event-specific terms listed by the event creator (“Event Host”). If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and those of an Event Host, the Event Host’s terms will take precedence in relation to that specific event.
1.3 A “ticket” refers to a digital or physical proof of the right to a service or product from an Event Host. This may include passes, season cards, vouchers, or gift cards.

2. Use of the Service

2.1 By creating an account, listing an event, or purchasing a ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Island Ticket Hut may update the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. We reserve the right to suspend or remove access for any user who violates Jersey law, these Terms, or the event-specific terms set by an Event Host.
2.2 Island Ticket Hut reviews newly created events. If we suspect that an event may not meet our standards or may cause legal or reputational risk, we reserve the right to pause ticket issuance while the nature of the event is reviewed. If tickets cannot be issued, we will aim to refund any payments made (minus applicable fees).
2.3 As a general rule, no right of cancellation applies to ticket purchases unless the event is cancelled.
2.4 Event Listing Requirements
By submitting an event through Island Ticket Hut, organisers must list all tickets for that event exclusively on this platform. Organisers are not permitted to direct buyers to purchase tickets through external websites, platforms, or third-party links. All ticket sales for events created using Island Ticket Hut must be processed through our system to ensure accurate tracking, fee collection, and customer support.
2.5 Event Submission & Accuracy of Information
All events submitted through Island Ticket Hut go live immediately upon submission.
It is the sole responsibility of the event organiser to ensure that all information provided, including but not limited to event title, description, dates, times, venue, ticket prices, and any other details, is accurate and complete prior to submission.
Island Ticket Hut accepts no responsibility or liability for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in event listings once submitted.
Should any amendments, corrections, or administrative actions (including refunds, ticket re-issues, or communication with ticket holders) be required as a result of errors made by the event organiser, Island Ticket Hut reserves the right to charge an administrative fee to cover the costs incurred.
By submitting an event, the organiser agrees to these terms and confirms that all details have been checked prior to submission.

3. Ticket Purchaser Responsibilities & Rights

3.1 By purchasing a ticket, you confirm acceptance of these Terms and any applicable Event Host terms.
3.2 It is your responsibility to review all event details prior to purchase, including date, time, location, and ticket type. Refunds will not be issued for incorrect purchases or failure to review event information.
3.3 Tickets are valid only for the stated event.
3.4 Entry is subject to the Event Host’s admission rules. Admission may be refused for safety, behavioural, or ticket validity reasons.
3.5 Refund eligibility is strictly governed by Section 9.
3.6 Island Ticket Hut is not responsible for the delivery, quality, safety, or management of any event.

4. Limited Use

4.1 Island Ticket Hut provides ticketing services to both individuals and organisations. By using our platform, you agree not to copy, modify, distribute, publish, monitor, or interfere with any content, data, or systems hosted or provided by Island Ticket Hut without prior written permission.
4.2 Businesses and professional organisers are welcome to use Island Ticket Hut to sell tickets. However, any advanced use of the platform, including integration with external systems, white-labelling, or bulk data access, must be agreed upon separately in writing with Island Ticket Hut.

5. Data Protection

5.1 We are registered with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner and comply with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
5.2 By using the Service, you consent to our collection and processing of your personal data, which may be shared with subcontractors and Event Hosts for the purposes of ticketing and communication.
5.3 We may use cookies to enhance your user experience. You may disable cookies via your browser settings.
5.4 We process personal data in accordance with applicable regulations, and with consideration for your privacy and data accuracy.
5.5 You can request access to or correction/deletion of your data by emailing info@islandtickethut.com

6. Payment & Security

6.1 We accept multiple payment methods including VISA and MasterCard. All payments are processed via PCI-compliant payment service providers.
6.2 Our website uses SSL encryption and other security technologies to protect your data.

7. Fees & Payment Terms

7.1 Island Ticket Hut applies a flat service fee of 6% + 0.50 per ticket sold. This fee covers transaction, processing, and platform usage costs.
7.2 By default, booking fees are added on top of the ticket price and calculated automatically by the system. For tickets with a coupon code, promotional code, or discount applied, Island Ticket Hut’s service and processing fees are calculated on the original ticket price. Discounts do not reduce the platform fees payable. In exceptional cases where fees cannot be applied automatically (for example, allocated seating events), fees may be absorbed manually at Island Ticket Hut’s discretion.
7.3 Island Ticket Hut will collect all payments from buyers on behalf of the Event Host.
7.4 Within 2 working days after the event, Island Ticket Hut will:
7.4.1 Provide the organiser with a breakdown of tickets sold, total revenue, fees retained, and the net payout due (“accounting statement”); and
7.4.2 Transfer the net amount to the organiser’s nominated bank account.
7.5 In some cases, buyers may request a credit card chargeback. Organisers are fully liable for any chargebacks relating to their event. Island Ticket Hut is not responsible or liable for chargebacks initiated by buyers, and organisers agree to indemnify Island Ticket Hut against such claims.
7.6 All prices and payments are in Sterling.
7.7 Objections to any accounting statement must be raised within 21 business days of issuance. After this period, the statement will be considered accepted.
7.8 In limited cases, Island Ticket Hut may advance ticket revenue to organisers before the event. If the event is cancelled or refunds are otherwise required, the organiser must immediately repay the advanced funds to enable customer refunds. If the funds are not returned, the organiser assumes full liability for customer refunds. Island Ticket Hut will not be held responsible for issuing refunds in such cases.
7.9 For any refunded ticket, Island Ticket Hut retains a 0.80 processing fee.

8. Ticket Delivery

8.1 Tickets or confirmations are normally sent to the email provided within one hour of purchase approval.
8.2 You are responsible for providing accurate contact details. If you do not receive your ticket, check your spam folder or contact us at info@islandtickethut.com

9. Cancellations & Refunds

9.1 Refunds are only available if the event is cancelled or rescheduled and you cannot attend the new date. A processing fee of 0.80 will be deducted from any refunds.
9.2 For discretionary refund requests (i.e., not due to cancellation), the Event Host will determine whether a refund is issued. Their decision is final.
9.3 If funds have been advanced to the Event Host, refunds can only be processed once those funds have been returned to us. If not, you must contact the Event Host directly.
9.4 It is your responsibility to check event details. We do not guarantee notification of changes.
9.5 We are not responsible for any external costs (e.g., travel or accommodation) related to event changes or cancellations.
9.6 Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
9.7 Refunds are not issued for personal scheduling conflicts or booking errors.
9.8 Refund requests must be received within 14 days after the event.
9.9 For rescheduled events, refund requests must be made within 14 days of the original event date.
9.10 If an event is rescheduled multiple times, the 14-day window starts from the announcement of each new date.
9.11 Using your ticket at a rescheduled event voids your right to a refund.
9.12 Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method.
9.13 You are responsible for checking your ticket details before purchase.
9.14 You are responsible for reading the event listing prior to purchasing. Ineligibility due to listing information does not qualify for a refund.
9.15 If you use multiple accounts and lose access to tickets due to confusion, we cannot provide a refund.

10. User Responsibilities

10.1 You are responsible for managing your account, keeping your credentials secure, purchasing the correct tickets, and ensuring your information is accurate.
10.2 Complaints about the service must be made within a reasonable time (2 weeks).
10.3 Your account is personal. You must keep your login credentials confidential.
10.4 Actions taken through your account are assumed to be by you. Notify us if your account is compromised.
10.5 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

11. Privacy

11.1 Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy

12. Intellectual Property
