Portals: A journey into Caves, refuges and primordial creative space

One of 5 creative workshops exploring the way different landscapes impact our senses. This is part of a larger series of Forest Therapy sensory wanders in nature for wellbeing for people and planet. Spaces on the workshops and wanders are FREE, funded by government initiative, Connect Me.

We’ll explore the caves at Plemont, taking our time to experience the inner realm of the ancient rocks – a portal to hollow earth.

Caves are places of visions and experiences that may challenge, inspire your imagination and meet the sacred. Entering the dark requires time to adjust your sight to the gloom…what may you find there?

Following time in the caves we’ll respond to our feelings/emotions through some creative ways, some sketching perhaps, charcoal, pencil, watercolour…you may bring your own favourites if you have any. Sand painting is also an option.

Please wear appropriate clothing/shoes or bare feet, as it may mean at least paddling through some water depending on the movement of sand etc in the bay in the meantime.
