Get your book published!

Want to publish a book in 2023? Find out how from an Amazon best-selling author. A self publishing blueprint & how to get a publishing deal

Written a book and don’t know what to do next?

This one day workshop will help you decide if self-publishing is right for you, take you through the pros and cons of the various publishing options, and give you the practical knowledge to get started in indie publishing, or pursue more traditional deals. We will also talk about the most common mistakes that authors make and how to give yourself the best chance at having a successful launch.

The advent of digital publishing, means that anyone can now publish a book, but doing it professionally is key. But most books that get published on Amazon, never sell more than just a few copies. Even if you want to get a traditional deal, publishers expect you to do some marketing yourself.

If you want to be a published author of fiction or non-fiction, and you’re not sure where to start, then this one day course will give you the basic knowledge to take the first steps – and more. Whether you want to launch a non-fiction book to further your existing career, or are looking to launch a fiction writing career, this workshop will set you on the right path.

What we’ll cover:

  • What publishing option is right for you? Self-publishing, digital first publishing, traditional publishing? And do you need an agent?
  • How do you self-publish and where?
  • Does it cost to self-publish? How much money will I make?
  • Building your platform
  • How do you make sure your books sell?
  • How to get Amazon to market and sell your books for you.
  • The 10 things that everyone needs to know about self publishing
  • What are the pros and cons of working with a publisher and an agent and how do you get one?

You’ll go away with a practical checklist to help launch your book successfully as well as a list of further learning resources to help you take your author career forward.

This workshop won’t tell you how to write your book, its aim is to show you how you get your finished manuscript into the hands of the right readers.

The cost of the workshop includes a light lunch and cold drinks.
