Full Moon Wellbeing Retreat – Mindful Mondays

Mindful Mondays: Full Moon Wellbeing Retreat – Gather under the full moon for an evening of yoga, breathwork & meditation.

Join us for this special evening of yoga on the terrace overlooking the beautiful ocean, be guided through a gentle slow flow yoga class, followed by meditation and breathwork in the magical fort. We will finish with a moon ceremony, journalling, and sit around the fire for tea and sweet treats.

Held inside the historic mid-19th Century fort on Jersey’s rugged north coast. Traverse the winding coastal path, cross the drawbridge and settle in for a blissful evening. We will create a quiet space in order to tap into what you need on this full moon.

It really is a special place to be – last years event was magical and we can’t wait to host another one for you – reserve your space on this summers only full moon retreat before it sells out.

On the full moon, the sun’s radiance is strongest – reflected both from the Earth and from the moon to the Earth. It is when we have access to greatest consciousness. With the moon’s alignment to the Earth it allows you to release, cleanse and completes cycles, patterns and recurring situations. It’s a time where you can reset your course.

From the new moon to the full moon there is a building up of energy. From the full moon to the new moon there is a winding down of energy . On the full moon we give ourselves the space to celebrate and rest.

A Global Geopark tells the whole story of an area, right from the very beginning. Jersey ~ which has been shaped by tide and time ~ is in the process of applying to become a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Jersey is a special place for understanding our natural and human history we have exceptional geology, unique heritage, amazing landscapes and special seascapes. A Geopark can tell the whole story and, if Jersey is successful in achieving a designation, it will be a statement of commitment to protect the Island we all love and to promote the landscapes, seascapes and heritage that are important to Islanders.

L’Étacquerel Fort, built in 1836 to defend this part of the coast from French invasion, is located in a field called La Petite Houguette. Field names like ‘hougue’ or ‘pouquelaye’ suggest the existence of an artificial mound nearby, although that might not be there now. These mounds might have been built thousands of years ago as a burial mound.

The small bay to the right of the fort is below a hill named La Tête des Hougues. This bay is a site which shows the meeting of darker Bouley Bay Rhyolite Formation at the bottom and Rozel Conglomerate Formation, formed by ancient river channels in a time before plants or soils even existed.
